NEUTERING
Why is it important?
It prevents unwanted pregnancies, reduces the number of stray kittens which will most likely become sick and die on the street, it stops kittens from having kittens (cats can get pregnant at 5 months old ), it stops fights among cats and hence the spreading of FIV virus, it reduces spraying and is the main step towards their healthier and happier lives.
We come across many cats which are the victims of RTA (ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT). Not many of them survive.
The lucky ones might have terrible injuries which our vets try to address asap if the victim is brought to them quickly enough. Sometimes cats become disabled (amputated leg), blind or deaf following the RTA but for most of them, it’s unfortunately too late. They have one thing in common: they are all intact male cats.
There is many schemes across the borough and the country allowing free of charge neutering. If you need more information please get in touch.
