George was found in the act of a desperate attempt to pull some food out of a rubbish bag in an alley behind a row of shops. George was friendly but extremely scruffy and emaciated. After a thorough examination and tests, George was diagnosed with kidney disease, a very sensitive tummy, and age-related arthritis. It also became immediately apparent that George is a girl!
George is probably around 16 years old and other than being really loving and affectionate she is quite a character – assertive, intelligent and at times quite suborn. She does not like other cats and is a very fussy eater (Whiskas only!).
She is looking for an indoor retirement home as an only cat. She loves people but no other felines!
George will make a wonderful companion to someone who is at home most of the time and has the means to get her to the vets for check-ups on a regular basis.
Her CKD (chronic kidney disease) will worsen slowly.
She might require Subcutaneous (SQ) fluid administration therapy in the future and her new owner must be happy to learn how to do this at home.
