Circumstances: On the 26th September 2023 I heard a cat crying under a vehicle by the printer/photo copying shop in the small parade of shops next to Sainsbury on Stamford Hill. An elderly gentelman says he has been feedng it every day but is worried about it because it is clearly homeless. I've seen it half a dozen times since then. Always around the same time, between 7 and 8pm. The gentelman can often be seen sitting on a bench in front of the parade of shops/small grassy area. He is often surrounded by masses of pidgeons who he also feeds regularly.
If there is no vehicle to hide under in front of the parade of shops (three in total), the cat can often be found under a vehicle in front of the large detached building next to them. The cat is very nervous but yesterday let me stroke its head for the first time.
I think it would be impossible for me to catch it as things stand.
I hope you can trap it and see if it is microchipped or if not rehome it. A friend of mine said she would be willing to give it a home but I'm not sure it's suitable. She doesn't have a garden and already has one indoor cat that has not yet been vaccinated although she says she will get him done.
If previous owners can not be located I will ask my neighbours if any of them will be willing to take it in.
I hope you can help because I hate to think of it still having to survive by itself when it gets colder and fireworks are set off.
